Yes, I worked for 29 years plus 12 years combined with a second job. I became disabled. I have been receiving my social security 2 years after I was deemed disabled. I had to fight like crazy to get it. So, I do receive a pension AND my social security. I am so grateful I get social security. All of you that have social security taken from your checks BETTER receive the money you have paid in. Period. If the government says it has run out, it is because they have spent YOUR money.

Swedes pay 8-10% more taxes than americans if earning 40.000$/year. Still americans have no more money after paing all costs. So taxes are always cheaper than fees and costs. The US has a population with huge debts....

I'm generally a fan of Milton Friedman however this is one of the times he was just wrong. As a classic example most of his checks came from the GOVERNMENT.
