Review Honda-e June 2022 London, England.

Model: Honda e Advance

Year: 2022
Engine: Electric
0-62 (mph): 8.3 Seconds
Range: 131-137 Miles

It’s rare that a new car shows up and sets the standards of how cars should be! The Honda e definitely turns heads, its comfortable, feels spacious and stunning inside and out. All this can forgive the relatively short battery life of a claimed 137 miles and a top speed of only 90 mph but why would you need more? After all, this is a city car with a fantastic tight circle of only 4.6 meters.
The Honda e comes in two forms: the standard car with 136hp and a quicker Advance model with 154hp. Both, though, have the same motor and 35kWh battery and a modest range of 136 miles.
Although the Honda e is primarily built for the city, it is still relatively calm and quite on the motorway and compared to its rivals, it is definitely punchier and more settled.
the Honda E corners in a composed manner without much body lean. And no matter how fast or slow you are going, the steering gives you a good sense of connection with the front wheels, thanks to its accuracy and natural weighting
When you get inside, the first thing you notice are the amount of screens, it looks like a child’s gaming room. You get an 8.8-inch screen behind the steering wheel and 2 x 12.3-inch infotainment touch screens. You also have an option of having 2 x 6 inch mirror screens that does need getting used to but hey... its 2022, it is all about the screens!
The driving position is very good, with excellent adjustability in the driver’s seat and steering wheel.
There is plenty of space up front, the driving position is very easy to get comfortable in, storage is not great though. The back is ok for two passengers but the boot is tiny, however the rear bench does fold down.
The Honda e comes in two trim levels, named simply Honda E and Honda E Advance. Both give you a decent amount of equipment, with Advance adding luxuries such as a heated steering wheel, a self-parking system and heated front seats, along with the more powerful electric motor
Charging with a rapid charger form 10-80% will take just 30 minutes. Using a regular charger at home will take up to 6 hours. However, some Honda showrooms do offer installing a free rapid charger at home.
Overall, the Honda e is a fantastic little retro car that does put some of its rivals to shame when it comes to style and innovation, its just a shame about the price and the relatively short battery range compared to other rivals in its class.
