Fun idea. If you build them on the bottom of the plate rather than the inside, you would be putting them on a snow mound. Decorate the “yard” with trees, a sidewalk, etc.

My teacher friend across the hall from me, would have her classes make these. Then she'd have them write a story about their houses. The kids loved it! 😍 I did other projects with mine. We shared the same students on our team.

Great idea! Also, it's way easier to make soft gingerbread instead of gingerbread cookies. If you cook that the same day as making these, you'll still get the smell of it, but with so much less work! 🙂

We love graham cracker houses and had a friendly family competition making them several years ago. So much fun!!! Great tips in this video!

We have been making these since 1995. I have always just used hot glue to hold the crackers together. Then the pre-made frosting . You are right that the kids only care about the frosting and candy. They never eat the house.
