Romandisea Titanic Replica (China)

NOT to be confused with Clive Palmer's Titanic II project: In 2017 a replica-Titanic project, for the Romandisea Tourism Resort in Sichuan Province, China, began construction. However, this was never going to be a real ship. It was to be a hotel/tourist attraction, within a theme park. Although construction work progressed steadily throughout 2017-18, construction slowed dramatically in 2019. The ship is clearly not yet finished yet. (Images Courtesy of Romandisea).

Honestly I prefer this replica over Titanic 2 because they recreate it 1:1 and do not add these stupid D Deck lifeboats and other modern ship crap. This would disappoint every Titanic enthusiast...

I really can't wait for this one, apparently they're remaking a Southampton dock too, the interiors will be amazing and I really want to just explore the ship and get some beautiful photos

Update it ran out of funding in 2021. So doubt it will be completed

Over 1500 people died on the original vessel. It blows me away to see the many varied ways that organizations/companies, etc find ways to make money from their tragedy.
