"lassen" with Prefixes | "lassen" mit Vorsilben

From the previous lessons you must have already realized that “lassen” is a special verb. In this lesson we will be a learning a new way to use the versatile verb "lassen", ie. "lassen" with Prefixes.

Going forth in this lesson you will learn how by just attaching a few prefixes to it, one can create a lot of new verbs such as “weglassen”, “zulassen”, “anlassen” etc.

With the help of all the examples in this video, not only will you learn how these prefixes change the meaning of “lassen", but also how these verbs can be used in your spoken language.

Additonally there will be a small exercise at the end of the video to practice what you have learned.

entlassen - to dismiss, to release (from a job or institution)
hinterlassen - to leave behind
überlassen - to leave to, to surrender
auslassen - to omit, to leave out
