Exploring Windows 7 beta build 7000

Показать описание
In this video I install and explore the official Windows 7 beta or Windows 7 build 7000. It was compiled and leaked in December 2008. The following month, Microsoft officially released it to MSDN and TechNet for testing. This build has a broken timebomb and can be installed on the current date. Unfortunately, after doing this, there is a themes issue. What is more, Hyper-V doesn't officially support Windows 7 without a service pack. This build is far away from Windows Vista and recognizes itself as Windows 7, and the Vista Hyper-V additions don't work either (they require Vista SP2, and Vista isn't supported in Hyper-V on Windows 11 anyway). I managed to fix the resolution by using an RDP connection to the VM, but the Aero theme can't be displayed due to the VM adapter driver allowing only 16-bit color. While there is a way to bypass the WDDM signed driver requirement for Aero, it still requires 32-bit color, which I can't force. Despite that, Windows 7 beta still works and installs successfully, and I explore some of its new and unique features.
