Fox edge neck knife sub $50 knife review.

I was challenged to do a 30-day sub $50 EDC knife. it took longer than that because I wanted to make sure I got to use it on a variety of different things. Thanks to Joe @joesmultiedc for this challenge.

Knife center currently has this for 19.95 both the 2" and 3" versions. I'm thinking of picking it up for an appendix carry knife.

I never had the chance to use this one, I gave it to my brother 🤣 Glad you got some use out of it though.

I absolutely love this design. The g10 is beautifully done; nicer than lots of knives 3x the price. I find the jimping to be perfect. The cutting geometry is great with the hollow grind. I really like how the sheath was thought out with the additional retention, and the blade clicks in nicely. You can pull it off the sheath easily for pocket carry. Honestly, it would be one of my very favorite neck knives if not for 1 thing. The steel is bad. Not ok, or decent, but bad. 3cr13mov is just not good enough for knives imo, and not just compared to modern steels. It takes an OK edge...and if it could hold that edge for any amount of time, it would be passable, but it doesn't. If FOX did this in N690 or even AUS8, I would pay 2x the price I payed gladly, but unfortunately this knife doesn't get carried because I can't count on it to cut for any amount of time. As a last ditch defense option, it's good because the of size and pointy tip, plus I can get 4 fingers on it, but I have other blades that can also stab, but cut as well...its really too bad. I love everything else about it. Sorry for the essay, and Thanks for the video.

I love my one of these for the price, for light/emergency use its great, if the steel was better it would be an absolutely awesome knife. I still rate it for the money but its a shame its not that bit better
