The best way to store rubber bands is in a large, airtight prescription pill bottle. It contains them well, and they won’t dry out.

You do not need anything for socks. You just line up two socks that match, and pull down part of the sock from inside of the pair over the other sock as you fold down the socks. You should be left with two socks now properly matched together, and if you did it right, and until you decide to separate them, they will stay together. I thought everyone knew how to fold socks. You can also do this with flimsy gloves too.

They can help close the drapes in a hotel room. Ive never tried it but there's always a gap between them maybe that will help, clip them together.

I grew up in the 70s and my dad was so tight on $ we didn't throw anything away until we used it over so much that it fell apart. Like paper bags from the grocery store, Shoe boxes, padded mail envelopes, soda bottles with twist on caps etc.😅
My dad was accidentally saving the planet 50 years ago.

You have some wonderful ideas. I like the tape idea. I always used a pen or pencil to stick onto the tape dispenser and it was frustrating. And you have the best ideas for using the clip without using rubber bands that always break. Thank you.

Here in Australia our bread clips are now recyclable cardboard. I still have a few old plastic ones for the cord ties etc and always throw a couple in my wash bag when I travel.
