Oh no. Please don't repeat this. Show me where he is a genius. He didn't do any complicated math nor discover anything, he merely sees visual patterns or fractals.

This story has been circulating for decades. Yes he did spend a lot of his free time making mathematical formulas and diagrams but when he showed them to actual math professors they just laughed at him because of how insanely wrong they were. In reality he had just been writing random numbers and equations that mean nothing but in his own head he had convinced himself he was a genius

You were doing great on your channel because it was filled with well established medical facts. Please don't start doing stories with anecdotal evidence and unverified myths.

Ignoring the accuracy of the story, this legit sounds like a super-hero origin story.

Yea, no. A little research shows that apparently when he wrote some stuff on physforum he was shut down immediately of how stupid the ideas were. The only academic articles found in his name are the "struck by genius" ones. For a so-called genius, he had done absolutely nothing but talk about how much of a genius he has become after the attack and throw in a couple complicated-looking math talk that wowed the audience which no one with credibility has taken seriously.

"He’d not yet been officially diagnosed but felt it was synesthesia and savantism because he recognized his own experiences in a documentary he saw about Daniel Tammet."

He was also interviewed by Michael Stevens, during which he said "I see the world frame by frame, so it's blurry for me"

I know of people take serious issues with him calling himself a genuis, but considering he was bludgeoned in the head, it could have been a form of brain damage causing it. Like the things he saw he believed were real equations when they werent.

I suffered a TBI and noticed a slight increase in memory, and cognition. I can't explain it! It's so very subtle, but noticeable I have never said anything about it, never thought about it that way. Almost like a fog lifted or something enhanced enough for me to notice and boggle me.

I hope this man can live a very long healthy life. 🙏

It didn't just turn him to a genius. His personality took a 180 he was a different human practically after this

Is that why all the old timers wanted to smack us young-uns on the head to “knock some sense” into us? It was really a thing. I really miss grandpa. I really shouldn’t have shaken the ladder when he was changing the light bulbs.

The guy that hit him must have gone through such an emotional rollercoaster. Mad enough to hit him, then worried he killed him, theb maybe proud of his work
