I think the house is an icon. Houses do have a door, a roof and a chimney (but not all). The image resembles a house.

If you don't think the house resembles real houses, then you can't say the bicycle resembles real bicycles, as many bikes do not resemble the bike in the picture.

Wouldn't the flag of America be an icon because it resembles the 'flag' of US and not US in a way
