Phone Screen Resolution: Do you need a 4K phone?

Display resolution in smartphones has been steadily increasing. Sony's Xperia Z5 Premium even sports a 4K display. But do you even NEED that large a resolution in your phone? What are you trying to prove, anyway? That Freddy down the street is a pathetic scrub because he only has a 720p phone? What does that say about you as a person, that you have to put other people down like that?

I have a 800x540 display on my phone and I'm kinda comfortable with it.

You don't need 4K on a phone. Maybe a tablet.

Here's my take.

720p on phones 4.6-inches or smaller
1080p on phones between 4.8-inches to 5.5-inches
1440p on phones between 5.5-inches and 6-inches

FINALLY someone who points out the resolution epidemic. I hope reviewers watch this video so people will stop saying stupid shit like i wish i had a 4k screen or the higher the original pixels the better. Next you need to to go over how many cores you need or even used.

Got the Xperia Z5 Compact yesterday, has a 720p screen and still looks amazing. Nobody needs a 2k screen on a phone lmao.

1080p for a 5-5.4 inch phone
1440p for a 5.5-6 inch phone
2160p well... I have never seen a phone with a screen size of more than 6 inches.
