The system isn't geared for psychopaths. There is an assumption that shame will force a politician to resign if caught in a scandal, but Trump, a psychopath, has no shame, guilt or remorse.

Trump has shown GOP politicians they can do just about ANYTHING and as long as they hang an R behind their name on the ballot GOPers will vote for them. Morals, standards, couth, integrity, truthfulness or a true heart to serve is not necessary to get a GOPer to vote for you. That's what Trump has shown - GOPers have no rock bottom.
