8:00 I fully agree here. Dragon is the son of an important figure in the marines/WG. Whatever had to happen for him to turn away from that and decide to build up an army of his own to take those guys down HAD to be big. Not to mention he is so dedicated to his goal that he has been working in the shadows, preparing, for over 20 years. Sure there is a lot going on in the world rn that he could get involved in but getting involved rn wont get him any closer to his goal. His goal is to liberate the people from the World Government. Engaging in smaller scale skirmishes at this point would be a waste of his manpower and recourses. They have finally finished preparing and are now lying in wait for the perfect time to hit the WG for real. Dragon said himself that now that they are smothering Mary Geoise all they need to do is wait for the Gods Knights to act. Which is why I don't understand why everyone is expecting him to show up rn. Saturn being on Egghead was a secret even amongst most marines. Dragon wouldn't know. And Kuma running away again was unfortunate but something he couldn't do anything about. Kuma can travel faster than pretty much any other character in the story, they aren't catching him. But even if they were to follow Kuma, they would have to cross the red line too. Dragon won't do anything until the Gods Knights do.

Anyone who downplays Dragon shouldn't be taken seriously in the first place. He's clearly a cautious man that doesn't behave recklessly and knows when to make sacrifices. Only a fool would risk ruining a multi-decade plan when it's so close to completion.

Dragon's "inaction" is similar to what the Cross Guild and Wano represent. It keeps the Navy on guard and prevents them from doing what they want when the enemy's strength is unknown, and the enemy's whereabouts are unknown. It's unpredictable and too much of a gamble to act on, or they'll be at a disadvantage.

8:31 this Buggy Slander must stop. Is Buggy sometimes lucky? Yes, however he places himself into positions to optimize opportunities. Mind you he recruited Luffy’s first enemy in the East Blue foreshadowing his people skills/charisma and almost killed Luffy but was stopped by Dragon. He also was in the process of escaping an impenetrable prison meeting Luffy practically at the gate. After helping Luffy escape prison he also broken out tons of people recruiting them. Then he manages to turn his privacy into an OP Amazon then he becomes a Yonko off of that enterprise recruiting Hawkeye and Crocodile (by force) to create and be the face of a Marine hunting business. Then in the end “nutted up” and commanded both Croc and Hawk to find the One Piece basically pulling authority and is like either “get wit it or get lost.”

Buggy is the GOAT and I won’t hear otherwise!

for people saying he still showed no feats or he is bad lead figure: at 100 episode, where he saved luffy from execution. look at how precise and powerful that lightning was - no one hurt besides buggy, and even him not dead, just roasted a bit. it mirrors dragons personality and motivation: he is powerful, but he knows when and how to make a precise attack to win big with lowest possible loss. thats real definition of a leader.
P.S. (and for those saying it wasnt dragon who saved luffy. go to logic courses in college or something. dragon was there when his son about to get executed, he even saved him directly afterwards from smoker, so u say that he would do nothing about actual execution? hihi
