I'm good with my original PS5 disc version. It has almost 3 terrabytes of storage. PS5 is definitely the best console I've ever played, just wish it had more games ..

the one advantage to a removable disk drive.. is if the disk drive breaks, you'll probably be able to send just that in while having a working console!!

For those of us who do not have one it is a good deal plus with these new bundles the games are free and you get more storage for the same price you currently owners paid for the removable disc is nice I will buy the disc version but not use it cuz there is no way I would buy digital then turn around and buy an 80 dollar blue ray player

The console makes sense for me because I like to travel and the current ps5 digital doesn’t fit very well in my backpack. It’s just a bit to bulky this almost looks like the perfect size and width to fit inside of my bag

It's required you to connect to the Internet before you can play the disc game. Which means you have to be online to play offline games.

Thank you so much guy. You just saved me a ton of trouble in trading in my OG for the new slim version just because my warranty was aboutto expire. . Also one less thing to worry about with all the hustling & bustling of life living. I Love the OG design & don't mind the size at all maybe because I'm an artist I guess. Anyway, thanks again buddy.

It's more for me that still have an Ps4, i mean yeah i can buy the last versión but is to big for me. With this one i can get more storage, it's smaller, more checked, have details like the buttons positions, the full leds (something irrelevant). I say i like it and if i get all of this at the same price of the actual One for me it's ok but could be better. But if i had a PS5 now i wouldn't waste my money.

There is a reason gaming PC use large tower not compact mini towers, cooling is job one before looks .

The PS2 had a 90nm chip that was shrunk to 40nm. The PS5 had a 7nm that was shrunk to 6nm. The PS5 Slim is essentially still using the same chip as the fat one, so of-course the sizes would be similar too.

Nowdays I'm a PC player, I used to play Playstation from PS1 to PS3, and that's where my journey stopped. Never had the budget for Nintendo or Xbox, we were single console household. Now tho, I purchased the PS5 Spiderman edition console for... Couple of reasons. First of, I hate that the new SKU of PS5's require internet for their disk bays. I'm sure this can be circumvented in some ways, the Modding community on consoles has always been exceptional, but I don't want to take any risks, so I pulled the plug. Not only is the CFI-12xx version using the 6nm die, but you also get the USB-A port on the front still, which isn't the case on the newer model. I wanna get Xbox Series X as well, I know companies are trying to get away from the physical media due to the possibility to re-sell, re-use etc. We're moving towards digital era, and that to me is the point of no return. During Activision acquisition by Xbox, we got leaks on Xbox wanting to get all physical media removed from their next versions of consoles, meaning that these might be the last consoles we will see, that have capability to read physical media.

0:49 If it helps you sleep at night, the term "slim" has never come from Sony's mouth in ANY of their revisions except PSP Slim and the PSP Slim&Brite. It's just a popular term, because they usually go with the lingo "this is the standard PS4 going forward" about the PS4 slim. So, don't rant about how Sony calls the PS5 slim "slim", because they don't and never have.

So i'm getting mine within the next few days and BAM now I'm faced with whether I want the slim or not. I think im going to go for the original like I had planned. I dont like the matte/gloss covers, and I will just add the extra storage because they made it basically dummy proof. Also, I dont get removing the disk drive either? I've owned every playstation, it's the only system I've gamed on really. I haven't gamed in about 5 or 6 years and now I'm going to be having internet installed out where we are so I'm getting my PS5 finally. I havent been this excited for anything in a long time. They said the internet would be before winter so hopefully within the next month .

The point is reduced size and reduced power consumption. The point of the disk drive is people who changed their mind, just with a price penalty (because it's cheaper to ship it together)

Plus you have to register the disc drive online too or else it wont work lol makes you wonder if the disc drive will keep on working once Sony cuts support for the ps5's online in 10 or so years
