for classical playing i roll my bottom lip slightly, not as much in the video though. don’t be too firm on the embouchure or your sound will suffer. for jazz playing always have your bottom lip rolled out. makes the subtones richer and you’ll have more control over pitch and volume. it’s also way more comfortable. you won’t feel any soreness

Some suggestions, reed can be slightly higher over mouthpiece not extremely noticeable but if you press it against mouthpiece there should be a tiny bit on top, you also don’t want to bite you end up putting pressure from bottom as well and making you squeak more often

I would recommend for the embochure to apply pressure from the sides and have the bottom lip rolled out instead of in. This is how my band director told me to play to hit higher and lower notes.

Edit: By doing this, it makes it easier to play with your throat, thus making a better sound.

I'm also self teaching myself saxophone and I have a question regarding the octave key: basically when I press down the g key, it causes it to go down and block that hole on top, is that normal or an issue I need to get fixed?
