Just a little somethign about the stat somparison at 6:13 : Wembanyama plays under FIBA ruleset, meaning 40 minutes matches instead of 48. If you roughly increase his stats to match the NBA duration, it brings him to this:
27.8 points, 2.9 assists, 11.5 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 3.6 blocks. (instead of 23.2, 2.4, 9.6, 0.7, 3.0)
Do note, that I said roughly because it doesn't take into account fatigue over the course of a match.
And I don't know how basketball in Europe being more difficult to score in (as Doncic and some other said) applies to Wembanyama. But I think his stats would be a little higher in G-league anyway, granted the load management would be similar.

Scoot is the truth man. Yeah, Victor is someone you just do not pass on if you have the #1 pick, but whomever gets the second pick is going to have a franchise changing player who would have been the first pick in 2020, 21, or 22. But no, you cannot pass on the possibilities that Victor brings you.

I agree with most of what you were saying about the magic. And yes, Scoot would be fun to watch surrounded by all those big men. But you made 1 mistake when you were listing the potential lineup. You included the wrong Wagner brother. I'm pretty sure you meant Franz instead of his brother. Franz is the more skilled of the 2 able to play gaurd or forward.

I feel like wembanyama is gonna be a player people are too scared to draft but too scared not to

i actually think there’s a chance he wont be a bust. he’s light and has good footwork. i think he’s kind of like olajuwon and kareem, who were both dominant centres without a bad injury history. i used to think he’ll be like yao, but he is better at shooting and creates less contact and uses his footwork more. but we can’t say for sure. he’s just different, an alien. we can’t compare him to anything else because he is not like anything else. we’ll just have to wait and see.

The games in France are shorter than in the us, he will average 27-30 points if he has the same time than scoot, and more rebounds ect

I am not saying victor would be a bust but whenever I see him all i could think is knee injury. If I were responsible for choosing someone for a franchise i would go for scoot all day as we have often seen shorter players tend to work even harder and usually get along with teammates very well.

I watched scoot play and he is one of the best players I have ever seen he never missed a shot and his defense and playmaker was elite.

I don't know about the physicality of this new era of basketball but i feel if Victor Wembenyama hits the weight room he can become deadly . And comparing Scoot to D Rose who almost was injured his whole career is an Overstatement.

As a spurs fan. Wemby is the perfect fit if we do get the number 1 pick. no offence to tre jones but i want scoot more than wemby. I know keldon and vassell can create their own shots but i can just imagine scoot’s explosive tendencies would also fit well with KJ’s cut to the basket, devin’s spot up and mid range game. Sochan recieving alley oop passes. With wemby we’re gonna get a unicorn. We’ll have the agile big man we’re always hoping to get for years now. I know poetl is doing great this season I like his old school style but I’m almost certain we’re trading him. I’m just hoping we wont get dropped in the draft. I know the spurs are great for developing players late in the first round of the draft so getting someone from top 3 and below would be fine but these 2 are just so talented that you want your team to tank hard.

Is way difficult to put wemby stats in french League than in g league he lead the league in points, rebounds and blocks per game that's crazy, Luka didn't get close to his numbers, european used to be underrated by NBA GMs but not anymore, that's why wemby is a clear lock
