Giant awakener. This guy made my club win a league after 19 years. Rest assure, unprofessional players will be put aside. Best coach of Sporting's history

Sir Alex kicked out Beckham the moment he started behaving like a super star. That's the language players understand at Man U. The owners seem to be oblivious of this

Look enough is enough. The pattern is clear. The management has sacked managers but hardly non performing players. If this carries on we will be in the same boat

Let's all agree, we felt the same when Eric ten hag became the Man Utd manager. And in a 1-2yrs we would be here again complaining against Amorim. The real issue lies beyond.

Im Portuguese, please don’t try to say “Taça”, just say “Cup” every time you see that. Your spelling was not good.

I’m almost 6000 years old, and I know no one but me will ever be able to describe what that is like, but this still made me cry

to be a man utd manager in current times is no joke
back then alex ferguson took his time and completely transformed utd to suit his style and was highly successful, and because he was well settled, he could easily take stern decisions and change players, remember when he literally kicked out beckham, one of the best utd players at the time because of some issues with his attitude, ferguson had the guts and brains to kick out a player like beckham and still be successful, right now, even when the best players of utd dont perform, they still play because they have no option and they themselves know that the club cant afford to lose them

The change here is that Amorim will be head coach. And the appointment was made by INEOS and not Glazers. This time, the players will be held accountable. No more PR nonsense.

Amorim will certainly improve Utd. It's blatantly obvious that some underperforming players will have to be moved on and their replacements brought in. How far Amorim can take us, remains to be seen. All Utd fans want at this moment is an improvement in the football and results.

So he was at OT in 2018 as an apprentice under Jose and now 6 years later he's back as a manager. Very impressive by itself. If he really possess great communication skills which was lacking with Ten Hag, then I'm sure he will be successful at OT. Ten Hag couldn't man-manage the egoistic players and sometimes stroke the Press' feathers the wrong way. The key point is if Amorim can get the Press to eat out of his hands, then he'll be on his way to great success.

I'm Sporting CP fan. As long as the management share the same vision as RA. You will have a very strong MU. It all depends on the director board, a good one as he had in Sporting (Hugo Viana, Sporting Director, also went to Man City a month prior as football director from this Sporting Clube de Portugal team).

It is amazing how Man U fans don't realize the problem is the board itself and a few players no the managers. They gave Tanhag a chance and he gave them two trophies then the board started interfering then all went to shit again. I almost feel sorry for this new manager dude.

VIDEO UPDATE:

On the 11th of November 2024, Rúben Amorim left Sporting CP with 11 victories out of 11 games played in the Portuguese League 2024/2025 Season (Primeira Liga), equalizing the best start in the club's history (1990/91 season).

Rúben Amorim left Sporting CP on the 2nd position in the Champions League 36 Teams Phase (with 3 wins and 1 draw, after 4 matches played, with 9 GF and 2 GA), after winning 4-1 against Manchester City, on that that was the farewell for Rúben Amorim on the José de Alvalade Stadium.

On the last match of Rúben Amorim while Sporting CP coach (at Municipal Stadium of Braga), the team defeated SC Braga 2-4, after being 2-0 down at half time.

Here’s what’s going to happen.
Amorim comes in as new Man United manager. He gets us playing good football. We push for Europe this season but narrowly miss out. People blame Ten Hag’s bad start.
Second season and United make some smart signings. However Amorim struggles with key player injuries and we have a disappointing season. The media say he’s not good enough. That he’s only managed in Portugal and that doesn’t count.
Third season we get beaten 5-0 by Liverpool. The following week we lose 3-0 to some random team like Bristol City. The fanbase turn against him and he’s out by Christmas.
United appoint Johnny Evans as interim manager until a successor can be found.

Watching Sporting recently, their players work hard and are brave when they have the ball. Two things the current Utd players don't do. They play for a manager for 18 months or so then throw them under the bus through being complacent and not trying. There is a culture at Utd that one man (the manager) will struggle to change. It's got to be a whole club evolution from the owners right down to the staff and dressing room. Anyone not on board with that needs to move onto a new challenge.

Fingers crossed he is wat we need hopefully the EPL ain't to much for him

He will be the man, if they let him be the man. If Amorim doesn't change things, it's because the problem isn't with the coach.
