When Chester was first released i thought that Sneek Peek will be base line not a SP
I thought he would be really cool to play because you know what super you have but not your enemy so you can adapt to the super you have but your enemy will have to expect anything

RT's starpower is not that bad, i might even say that the other starpower is worse, but I get where you are coming from. I agree on every other ability being bad though

Griff's 1st star power is underrated, it essentially speeds up your reload speed because your attacks finish faster, so it's good for Griff who's a damage-dealer. It also makes your attacks easier to hit

Griff's 2nd star power isn't that good in my opinion, you barely get any healing from it and it's only every 2 seconds so you might as well just stop attacking to properly heal

Also 10:25 it did get used competitively a while ago, specifically on Goldarm Gulch with Ruffs and Darryl

Frank's sponge starpower also works for healing more health per regeneration and so on. That does more than what the 1k sounds at first

They added record smash because mico has low dps so he can destroy boxes and other non brawlers nore quickly and with less ammo. (It should be his base ability)

Honestly, I think Bo first star power should have been a pssive ability, because the SP is not bad, is just to especific, is you are not in a map full, and I mean full of bushes, the second is preferable over the first, now if he has it as a passive ability, he would beneficiate a lot from it, as he would be less prone to be ambushed, but ambush very easily.

Aight I'm calling it out: BS on the record smash being a "bad" ability. The whole point was to allow for boxes to be broken, but to also give Mico an advantage when it came to heist. Mico deals insane amounts of damage if played right and can take 21 percent of the safe's health with 3 ammos.

tbh the shelly gadget didn't need a special ability just a rework at the time it was good i mean shelly was least fast the hypercharge wasn't a thing so a bit more speed was a cool thing just the time make the gadget "bad" mostly cause of the second gadget rework

A quick disclaimer to everyone is that some of the starpowers presented on the video are not 100% useless but yes an needs an buff (ruffs's field promotion, griff's second gadget) or are outshined by the other one (shelly's first gadget, mico's second SP)

The useless ones on the video are (i edited as i watched):

1. Chester's sneek peak: it should have been on the brawler's base build
2. R-T's transmitter: this gadget is the pure definition of bruh because there is literally no moment in a match while you are separated with R-T you miss the amount of damage that the gadget provides and also it is an slow projectile with very low damage
3. Pearl's hypercharge: it exists
4. Ash's second gadget: ash's playstyle is very aggro but this gadget makes him in the match have less health and you will typically die when you bring this gadget in a match upon the use while attacking someone or you just thought you was using the first on low health
5. Gus's second gadget: same as ash but in gus's case is the finishing move for him because he is an support and support brawlers are typically not that great at dealing damage
6. Doug's fast food: doug's gameplay resumes to you getting close to your teammates to heal (swamp of love update forward) and getting more close upon USING THE SUPER ON YOURSELF, the situations where you better off aiming your super are rare to find and when you do it's dependent on your teammate
7. Jessie's shocky: used only on heist to always damage the safe, but even so scrappy will die quickly like always and also the aim of scrappy when someone is moving is not that great
8. Frank's sponge: was never good since his launch and on launch his first one was better, but later received the first case of an useless starpower that had potential that had his potential unleashed upon the second gadget of frank receiving an buff that gived the double damage on his main attack.

With the 8th one i spoke, we learn that some of those useless or outshined gadget and starpowers might have been always trash or outright useless that people speaked that is good when it was launched (example: ash's second star power on launch, it was never good to begin with) even though the potential of the other in a match was always there (rosa's thorny gloves was always meant to be an near unstoppable force during the super)

I really sound like a nerd but jessies shocky star power is actually pretty good ONLY on heist since the enemies are usually really clumped together when you get the turret onto the safe.

I play a lot of RT and the choice of star power really comes down to the map. Sometimes, having a shield on your head is really good, but that downside is large. It's also the only tool RT has against assassins as a pseudo 'Get Off Me' tool that lets him win a crucial assassination attempt where RT's mediocre hp would normally lose. I prefer the shield but in bounty and most knockout maps the choice is obvious
