► In this video we give a brief review to the tragic life of Selena Perez, who died at the age of 23 and explore what would she look like in her older age, using age progression techniques and animations.
► There are few tales that stir the soul like that of Selena Perez. Born in the small town of Lake Jackson, Texas, in 1971, Selena was destined for greatness. Her father, a musician himself, recognized her talent at an early age and formed a band with Selena and her siblings called Selena y Los Dinos meaning Selena and The Boys. They played local gigs, and Selena's star began to rise.

It was not an easy road for Selena, however. She faced discrimination due to her Mexican-American heritage, and her music was not always well-received. But she persisted, and her popularity continued to grow. Selena became known as the "Queen of Tejano Music," a title she wore with grace and pride.

Yet, as is often the case with those who achieve greatness, Selena's life was marked by tragedy. In 1995, at the young age of 23, Selena was murdered by the president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldivar, who had embezzled money from Selena's clothing boutique. The news of Selena's death sent shockwaves throughout the music industry and beyond.

It is a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions. Selena, a young woman with talent beyond measure, struck down in the prime of her life. Her fans mourned her passing, and her legacy lived on. For Selena was more than just a musician; she was a symbol of hope and perseverance for the Hispanic community.

In the end, Selena's story is a reminder that greatness comes at a price. She faced discrimination and hardship, but she never lost her passion for music. Her legacy lives on today, a testament to the power of determination and the human spirit. As for Selena, she may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. For as long as there is music, there will be Selena.

I loved this. She has been frozen in time for decades. This video somehow makes it feel like she moved on.

I remember when Selena's death was broadcast on the news. I was a kid, only 15 at the time, but I loved her voice even then. I still think about what she could have achieved if she had not been taken so soon.

I'm a non-Hispanic white gal, and Selena is one of my biggest heroes and inspirations, having motivated and inspired me to pursue my dreams and goals. I served in the US Army for 3 years (2009-2012). As I'm sure you can guess, there were several people who didn't want me to join because they'd worry and didn't want anything to happen, blah blah blah. But then again, you don't have to be in the military for something bad to happen. We all know what happened to Selena, and she wasn't in the military. 😠
I'll always have a special place in my heart for her. 💜

As for the dummies that can’t read, she aged her up to the year “2043”, not to what would be her current age.
