From the Depths airplane tutorial, this time in FTD I show you how to build a plane in detail, You can use this tutorial to build both a bomber or a fighter aircraft, as we go through how to setup machineguns on turrets, Heat seeking missiles and bombs.
UPDATE: Ammo and fuel is still needed but these are now not separate materials, what they do now is to take materials as fuel or ammo from the storage, otherwise this tutorial should still work fine!

Came here to figure out why my fighter plane wasn't working. Turns out I completely forgot to add the "plane" maneuver to the AI. I was almost as confused as the plane was until I saw you doing that. Thanks a bunch!

Technical, you don't want your centre of lift and centre of mass to be that close for aircraft. Rule of thumb, if your lift is higher and further forward than your mass, you'll be more stable but less manoeuvrable, lower and further back is less stable but more manoeuvrable.

So, bombers and gunships, high and forward wings, fighter craft, lower and aft wings.

Is there a way to get the nose of a fighter to stay aimed at an enemy unit? I want my fighter to shoot at enemies without needing a turret for the guns.
