What I don't understand with this is what was he trying to achieve? At a mile (or thereabouts) high your not going to see anything you wouldn't see from a mountain. I remember being up at around 41, 000 feet in a commercial aircraft in a cloudless sky and I could just see the curve.

So much to unpack here, but let's tackle just a First, NO ONE ever dies doing what they love! If your idea of love are the screams that come as a result of plunging thousands of feet to one's death, then this man was cupid! Apart from that, "Mad Mike" failed the minute he did the one thing that no person should ever do, which is putting the words "Homemade" and "rocket" together! The minute any person does that, they end up exactly where this man did! It is not every day that we see irony as strong as we saw with Mad Mike. In that, the man ended up flatter than the flat earth he was trying to prove!

Good on you for being so magnanimous. I'm actually rather annoyed that he died in pursuit of something so irrational and that there were plenty of people that encouraged him, when perhaps they should've encouraged him to get a psychiatric appraisal. The flat Earth movement is a cult of personality and there's competition between a handful of them to be the king of the hill, and this is the result. Mike, a not very smart person, thought he could prove something that had been shown to not be reality countless years ago. Those that are trolling for views as flat Earther's (sic) should ask themselves if they feel any responsibility for this man's death.

I'm not laughing at his dead, he persue his dreams and that's admirable, and somehow I thing he was a great human being, but if you thing that only a parachute without scape capsule nor security measures, risking your own life was the correct way of proving it... Then there's something really bad inside your head....

Little bit of sad? No..very sad. He did not believe the world is flat. Was just a gimmick to get funding from flat earthers. This guy was a hero, daredevil and very intelligent. He rode the rocket one too many times. Rest in peace Mike!

Where is the footage of him getting in the Everyother launch showed it....
Something isn't right about he has done this before with no serious issues and there was full footage from beginning to end and this time everything is different. I didnt even know he was working on another rocket untill he is now announced dead. The last time he did this a few weeks later he said he said he will probably run for public office which those of us in the know was a hint to us that he was getting to close to something and was warned to stop what he was most of us following him knew it was odd and out of place for him to say that and now its clear why. He didn't listen and paid with his life as most do when they don't stop... I don't understand how his parachute just flew out without him attached seconds after defies logic
