It’s like we’ve regressed 70 years. A college campus was suppose to be the place where young adults are to act like adults and respect adversaries in pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
Needless to say I do not support either sides in the religious conflict. Mainly because I hate violence in real life. And both sides have committed atrocities. Both are guilty in pointless bloodshed.
Meanwhile I’ve been taught through religious studies in my younger years that killing is bad and to love one another.
It’s funny how George Carlin was right about this sort of behavior, with his “…more people die in the name of god than any other religion”

there is a time, for protest, but is there a place. if those decisions were made by the sort of compromised institutional expertise and those politically polluted priorities then maybe you would find the time but not have the sort of place which could influence your message, your narrative, your compassion. you would need to market and expand your message in hospitals churches mosques, before your demands could be met.
