Perhaps a little disclaimer at the beginning would be appropriate: "I'm totally not Lilith, why would you even think that? This is not an autobiography, I swear!"

It never ceases to amuse me how many monsters of ancient lore are manifestations of men being scared of smart, strong-willed women who enjoy sex and/or don’t want to sleep with them.

Another interesting factoid about Lilith is that, during the Middle Ages, she started being identified as the Queen of demons, and thus as the wife of Asmodeus, their king.

You and John McLean give off the same vibes, those being “mysterious immortal who deigns to illuminate us with great knowledge.” I love it!

11:11 This is the story that I recall. There wasn't any mention of vampirism, merely a woman who didn't want to assume the submissive position in sex and flew away from Adam.

She goes from a goddess of fertility to some crazed sex-child soul stealing demon. I named my daughter Lillith, she was born with Spina Bifida I found it so fitting and gives a wink to the strong-willed Lillith.

I am loving your Dark Academia outfit and makeup!
When I was a kid, I remember Lilith being mentioned as Adam's first wife, but I never understood that given that I was Catholic and was raised with the "Adam and Eve" narrative.
This is the first time I ever heard of Lilith being referred to as a vampire.

Lilith - “Please no.”

Adam, God, anything with a male ego- “And I took that personally!

I love the thought that Lilith ends up a chimera- it really shows that women cannot win. If we are independent and in control of ourselves and our sexuality, we are villains, yet if we fully conform to what a man desires and give him not just our body but our whole selves, we truly are nothing at all but an empty reflection.

Really awesome video!

I had a zoom call with my seven year old's teacher yesterday and our new kitten did something similar. Lol.
I got a book of mythology that included Lilith from my HS library, and I remember talking to my great aunt about her leaving Adam for him being an insecure ass. She laughed and said "Good for her. We're probably descended from her not Eve."

Nice Video
I also like the fact, that according to some etymologists, the term "lullaby" is derived from "Lilith Abe", Lilith begone, as to ward of SIDS.

I first heard of Lilith/ Lilitu in connection with VTM (Vampire: The masquerade). She was connected to the story through one of the factions in the game. Many of the same points were there, Caine and Adam and Enoch and a connection with animals. It wasn’t until later that I learned the materiel the White Wolf Publishing authors borrowed from.

My dog has learned how to open the bathroom door to get to the tiolet paper. He then steals a whole roll and pulls the tube out of the middle so he can destroy it.

During my studies concerning the Lilith plaque I noticed a a few things about it, first it’s quite beautiful, then the symbolism within it, the two Owls represent the two pillars on the tree of life, owls in this case representing Death and Wisdom, also karma, one cannot escape Death, it’s inescapable, time, Cronos, Saturn. Her arms Open, meaning Her openness to All, Her wings Air: meaning Mind, very mercurial. Her headdress a symbol of Power, the Horns as Dualism but worn on Her to reconcile That duality (middle Pillar on the Tree of Life) the Circle and Rods representing Male and Female in a sexual sense (creation) also subject and object, the docile Lions showing that existence, one’s lower mind can be not just overcome, but under One’s Rulership, and what of Her mysterious Smile? Its for Her to know and us to find out! I’ve left out so many other things but I thought I’d share. Blessed Be Lady of the Library! Oh! Yes She is Ishtar and many other Goddess’ too, She is the Mother of All. 🌹

The tree that Lilith set her home in was Inanna's tree and Inanna was very upset by this, feeling it was a bad omen, and/or she didn't like Lilith hanging around in her tree.

Your readings made my heart pound.
I appreciate all the different ground you covered. Lilith is fascinating. I tried explaining to some friends recently that most of what we know about her isn't actually in the Bible, but they seemed to only really be interested in what they learned from TV shows about vampires. I'll send them this video. Maybe they'll change their minds.

A succubus is "one who lies beneath, " while an incubus is "one who lies over, " and a concubus will lie beside. It would seem Lilith fills each of those bowls.

I just discovered your channel and I am so thrilled! I earned my MSLS at graduate university at Wayne State University. This is a Masters degree in Special and Medical Libraries, later I got certified for public libraries. I literally have a library in my house! Don’t get me in a book store because I WILL be finding something that I just have to have! Plus this video was right up my alley!! Thanks so much and I enjoy your interaction with your fur baby! Thanks so much!

Thank you, Cinzia. A very interesting video. I'm sure the whole interweb will tell you this but "ch" in Hebrew is pronounced as in the word 'loch' not as in 'choose'.
