This song... man. One time I was working the heavy bag at the boxing gym, and this song came on the radio. I already love the song, but I never expected to hear it at the gym. It lit a fire in me. It was probably two of the best rounds I've ever had on the heavy bag since getting started 5 1/2 years ago. I'm a guy who would prefer to train to alternate rock/grunge or whatever, but this song is incredibly special. It just makes me want to train so fucking hard until I drop. I started boxing because of a certain woman, and this song makes me think of her.

When I first heard this song decades ago, I was at my cousin’s house relaxing on her bed. I remember when I first heard this song when I was three years old. It was in the late 80’s. Me drinking my baby bottle of milk, not knowing what this song meant or anything but I had my mom put the needle back on the record player so I could hear it again. Just the whole song is a master piece!

(UPDATE WE BROKE UP) I know this song is about being a side chick. But to me it could also mean a different meaning. It could also mean about falling in love with an emotional unavailable person. Although you are last on their list, and your friends/family tells you to find another person you just break down and cry because you are still in love with the emotionally unavailable person and despite everything going on you are hoping and saving all your love for this emotional unavailable person.
