Actually the last oxygen molecule is hardER to obtain, hence why the dissociation curve flattens at the end.

Doesn't the fourth subunit find it more difficult to bind to the oxygen as opposed to easier than the third subunit, and this is the reason for the sigmoid curve?

I thought it would be harder for the 4th oxygen to bind to the last subunit as there are already 3 inside so this decreases the likelihood of oxygen being able to bind as less subunits are available.
