From experience I find it’s a must to pack a carry on with everything needed for everyone to survive one day in case the checked luggage gets lost. Also I pack the cubes like drawers in the suitcase and can fit 15 in one luggage. And each person gets their own color of 3 different sized cubes

I did something similar with breakfast for my last trip (even though I was by myself). I made a morning pack with caffeine chocolates, fruit snacks, granola bars, hot chocolate mix (to make mocha with the coffee in the hotel). Saves time and money.

We use packing cubes for all our trips, there are 5 of us. At first I bought 1 color but eventually went and got everyone their own color. Makes it so much easier when you get to your destination to know who’s clothes are in what bag, especially when packing us all together.
