Wisdom tooth removal itself is a traumatic procedure, which involves a little bit of bone cutting, bone shaving and the reflection of the flap or the gums and when you do so much of traumatic procedure during the removal, the body responds to the swelling and inflammation in the localized region. So it is normal to expect an amount of swelling and inflammation in the cheek region and which comes back to normal by the 5th to 6th day and it is the normal defense mechanism of the body, the normal healing process.

Got mine removed yesterday 2/6/21. 2 on my left side top and bottom. The bottom one was covered by my gum and taken out in 2 sections. And I have stitches in there. My cheek looks like the first girl lol can't wait for this week to be over😩😭 my kids keep judging me even my two month old. Must think I'm making funny faces or something...she keeps looking at my jaw and giggling😑

I got mine removed plus a broken tooth. I'm on day 5 at the moment. Only thing that hurts is my cheek. It has hard swelling. I called my doctor and they said I have a hematoma. Because of either they damaged a blood vessel pulling out my teeth or they did it with the local anesthesia. It hurts like hell to touch it or move my jaw. If you're still swollen with a hard lump in your mouth please call your dentist.

I recently got a tooth removed on my right side and I was normal at first I would take my medicine prescribed but I noticed swelling and its uncomfortable to move my mouth around and open it wide but I'm happy to know that the swelling it normal . i got it removed on the the fifth of February .

Well unfortunately for me my dentist removed my wisdom tooth while the tooth next to it has an infection so I’m just praying my removal site doesn’t get infected man I’m so worried. My dentist shouldn’t have removed it
