Can the Cyclops Cable Stripper Avoid This?

We've recently been using the Cyclops stripping tool from TUC, and we think it is excellent; the tool guarantees a safe strip with no damage to the inner conductors.

I was a cyclops user for a number of years, until late February 2020 when I got my hands on the ergo strip. I’ve used nothing else since.

The bulk of my work is Cat5e, cat6 and coax. I wish they did a version to enable me to strip intruder cable on the same way. Have to go old school and use the ripcord with those.

I had a similar tool 30 odd years ago and just as good if not a tad better got it free with a plaspug battery screwdriver, it was called a flexible cable ringer

I've used the £21 Jokari T30600 for years, must have prepared thousands of Coax and Cat5/6 ends without issue

That’s what the string is for. You make a cut and pull the string to rip the sheath and cut the end off so there is no chance of having exposed copper near the termination.

Anybody stripping Coax with anything other than a Klein VDV110-061 is wasting their life. One of the best tools I’ve ever bought

Nothing new, been using for about 20 years. TOP TIP?...if it's losing tension, turn the rubber band around! You can get a few thousand more cuts out of it

Good old Stanley knife with human depth gauge. Hasn’t failed me in 20 years

Stanley blade in a piece of 20mm pipe done. No one ever steels that of a construction site..

Defo not a new tool. I used one many moons ago when doing Cat5 when John Major was PM
