A Belgrade man was found viciously killed while camping near Big Sky. Officials first thought it was a bear attack, but now a homicide investigation is underway.

The most plausible explanation is that someone who knew he was going out there and would be alone chose to ack on the opportunity of his vulnerability. I would be looking at people close to him first. This has personal written all over it.

Have they questioned all the hunters/ campers who are up in that area?? Maybe they know of a hunter/ camper who was there and left in that time frame? Hope you find the culprit and Also sending prayers to his family 😢

The victim looks like a very capable and strong young man. This is very very spooky. As a camper myself i can tell you it's become increasingly risky and scary to camp anymore. No matter where. Personally I've had some scary experiences. This never used to be the case. There are more and more mentally ill people in this country. In my opinion a factor of socialism, social media and schooling.

I live about an hour away and frequently fish in rural areas of Montana. I ALWAYS have a firearm and ALWAYS have my head on a swivel. Montana is one of the safest states in the country and I would venture to say that this was at the hands of someone who knew him, or knew someone acquainted with him. Hiker was cut up and died here in Wisconsin at a place called Devils Lake. Still unsolved to this day. Happened a couple years ago.

They said the campsite was in good condition and intact. Would a human not take the expensive gear? Something? I'm not suggesting it was a dogman or something along those lines instead of a human, but it is definitely strange. Hoping that his poor family gets some answers. ❤
