VA Caregiver Support Program

Family Caregiver Alliance presents a webinar on the benefits that are available to those taking care of a veteran. The purpose of this webinar will be to introduce caregivers and clinicians to the VA Caregiver Program, and provide an overview of Caregiver Support Services offered through the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.

Objectives:
• Increase understanding of VA Organization, and the role that plays in Caregiver and Veteran system navigation.
• Increase understanding of the role the VA Caregiver Support Program can play, in providing support for Family Caregivers of Veterans.
• Increase understanding of Clinical Services that may be available to support Veterans and their Caregivers.
• Increase understanding of how to effectively navigate VA services.

Yeah good luck getting help from the VA with this I'm an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran taking care of my Vietnam veteran father who even retired at the VA and both of us were infantry and I've been denied any help with this process infact the VA has made it harder for me to get this process going good for my father and I. The statistics for negative outcomes with caregiving and veterans is staggering for the VA to fail us like this. This is utter betrayal of the people who served the United States of America.

Hey man I've been watching your youtube videos and I appreciate all the info you provide, really helpful!! Yea I've commented on a couple of your videos.  I tried applying for the caregiver program,   I live in Washington state. I go to American lake VA, they sent me a letter stating that I didnt qualify because the Coordinator said that I could feed myself ect. Iam 100% permanent and total for PTSD. Shes basing it all off of the ADL score sheet.  Am I still entitled to appeal it? I live with my mom, she helps me out everyday fulltime. Any info will help, thank you.

This is not right! Why post 9/11 ....what about Disable Veterans before 911...
