The thing with Max this year is, is that he is so cold. Literally no one can give him nerves. Look at the last ten laps of Canada. Sainz pushing behind him on fresher tyres, no single mistake from Verstappen. The same with Hungary. Starting 10th? No problem, he win.

Genuinely impressed by how much more relaxed and mature he feels this year. Now that he's won a championship, I really feel like he manages his lows (and highs) a lot better

Say what you want, Leclercs mistakes, Ferrari's F-ups, an excellent RB18, but Max is the best driver atm.

Verstappen is the king of outlaps. People hate on Ferrari for their strategy in Monaco, but seem to forget Verstappen was 10 seconds behind Leclerc and pretty much on the same strategy. He made up that deficit with a car that wasn't as quick as the Ferrari in just 4 laps.

It's insane how competitive Max can be without an absolute dominant car. We've seen this since his start in F1, winning races when he realistically shouldn't have. He was really only given a competitive car for 2021 and now 2022 and he might already be a 2-time champ

He is so more relaxed and laid back because he has achieved his goal that he had from childhood. So as he said after achieving WDC 2021, from now on everything is a bonus. And we can clearly see that and in the meantime he is developing even more as one of the best drivers of all time. Now joy prevails! He is only getting better. I'm impressed😲

I remember watching this kid years ago and as a seb fan seeing the insane speed of max I got very nervous. You could clearly see he was easily the fastest driver on the grid. The only thing that stopped him from having multiple championships already was that insanely op merc for the last 8 years

People would say it’s Ferrari making mistakes despite being the fastest car but people forget how Red Bull have had the most tensed season last year and yet came back this season with a car of equal pace. Merc are showing up but RB have been quite there since day 1

Max showed his out of this world performance since 2020 season when driving brilliantly and was the only one to challenge the spaceship modified Mercedes. His followed 2021 performance and championship win was so well deserved, and 2022 is only an improvement against his only competitor. Himself.
We're so lucky to witness this phenomenal driver, while the other drivers of the grid are so unfortunate to have to compete against him.
If he maintains that kind of performance, he will be without a doubt the GOAT.

Verstappen has been rock solid this season

I believe we are witnessing the man who is set to brake some very big records in Formula 1 and when he retires he will leave the sport with legend status just like the great Michael Schumacher, Jim Clark, Fangio, Prost, Senna, Moss, Stewart, Lauda, Ascari and so on and so on
