nice April!-i built one of those a few months back for a relative house warming gift..i like making my own trim also and the edge banding issue i had too..haha!🙃 i live the way the front looks with the knobs..good stuff

Nice job! IMO, the only thing I would have added would be Cedar Lining -- bottom, sides and lid -- to keep my blankets moth-free and add a pleasant aroma around the box itself.
But -- that's just me...!
