Today i'm going to show you how to enable and use Wi-Fi hotspot on Android 12 or 13 phones.
This can be useful if you want to share your Mobile internet with others.
So to do this go to settings.
Then tap on "Network & Internet"
Tap on Data Saver
and ensure data saver is turned off.
Now go back.
Then tap on "Hotspot and tethering"
Now tap on "Wi-Fi hotspot"
Then tap on "Hotspot name" and type a name for the wifi network you will broadcast to others.
For example i'm using "Mobile hotspot"
Now tap ok
Next tap on Hotspot password and set a password.
The password i've set is "MyInternet"
Then tap ok
Finally enable Wi-Fi hotspot.
You can now use the "hotspot name" and "hotspot password" on the laptop or phone that needs internet access.

For example i will connect my friend's android phone to my wifi hotspot.
So on my friend's phone i will go to settings
Then Network and internet
Then Internet.
Under WiFi search for Mobile hotspot and tap on it.
Now type the password "MyInternet"
Then tap "Connect"
All done my friend is now connected to my wifi hotspot.

Thank you very much. You saved my day. For the life of my I couldn't understand why the turn-on hotspot slider is grayed out, until you showed I need to first turn OFF the Data Save. Thank you again.

Thanks for the tutorial. However, I couldn't follow your tips as my Android 12 Settings don't have the same display as yours.
I cannot find WiFi hotspot on my Settings.
