I am so intrigued by your lecture here! I just can't ever get enough of science and such. Oh how I long for the day that I am anywhere near as intelligent and well-read as you! I can honestly and sincerely say that after subscribing to you, my life has been changed for the better, and I have found my new role model/idol. Thank you, Stephen!

Brilliant lecture, Stephen; I really really enjoyed it.
I had already watched the Laurence Kraus lectures you linked to in one of your old how to be smart videos, but it's such a fascinating subject that I could never get bored of learning about it.
It has been a while since you've uploaded anything new so it was a wonderful surprise to find this in my sub box.
Can we expect a return to regular "How to be smart" videos anytime soon, or are you still too busy?
If you give a lecture again, upload!

I hate being so bad with mathematics and science, no matter how hard I try I just can't wrap my head around some of this stuff. It's a shame because all this stuff just fascinates me like nothing else ever has. I'd love a career in studying this stuff, but I know it won't happen.

Despite that, your videos are extremely easy to understand, and this one in particular just blew my mind on so many levels. Everything is so amazing.

Please please upload more videos of you just talking, I really enjoy watching your videos but I'm a bit disappointed that you haven't posted anything recently. Cheers

not enough wrong with this for me to dislike it :D it's better than ones i've heard from leading scientists of these phenomena. It just "dark energy" seemingly causing accelerated expansion, "dark matter" is used to expain the expected mass of galaxies for their rotaional speed and hold them together. glad to know there are other entusists out there

I love giant scientific time/space algrebra problems lol.Alot of this is also the reason i believe in life on other worlds/galaxies/planets.In all the infinite space and all the infinite time we can measure its a mathmatical improbability that earth is the only planet that can support life as we know it.Good job bubb love Dr Krauss.
More vids friend please?

I'm sad that you have so less views.. Seems like society doesn't want to see over-thinker and reasonable men... well fuck society.. we -your viewer or simply I- consider myself as your student and try to benefit from your intellectuality.. Thank you Stephen

@marsgreekgod as particles approach the speed of light they start to gain mass instead of speed when you throw energy at them - because of this nothing can cross the speed of light threshold (but it can go faster) it simply gets heavier increasing its energy without its speed/heat
basically no heat limit as stuff goes faster than light ^^

You have successfully converted me to a weak atheist. Only problem I have now is how to tell my parents who are putting me through Catholic School.

was that a cell phone you were playing with to keep you awake? or were you using all of your strength to keep from blinding the guy with the laser pointer? :P

apparently our galaxy is gonna collide with the andromeda galaxy soon (meaning a few hundred years)
i'm not sure if this is entirely accureate, because i heard it from my science teacher last year, and she denied the existence of absolute zero (the temperature at which all atomic movement stops)
lol i made her google absolute zero and show the class :D

At 24:21 Stephen is just thinking: "Can you speak any slower? Does anyone want to hear this? Just shut up."
