Some people fight their final bosses to save the world. Adol fights the final boss so he can say thank you to someone that helped him save the world.

Seriously, this is one of the most satisfying final bosses I've ever had the pleasure of fighting.

bad song, too distractingly good and i end up spending 5 hours listening to it in the pause menu and forget to fight the actual boss and there goes my day

Played all ys game that available on steam and after completing Ys Ix, for me YS VIII still the best ys game

I finished my 2nd playthrough tonight, this time on Nightmare mode. The battle gave me hell this time around. It kept spamming that huge explosion attack multiple times in a row. I was barely able to escape the blast radius each time.

I had nearly used up all my healing items but I took it down in the end. Incredibly satisfying. I even managed to get the Platinum trophy after finishing this playthrough as well.

I'll never understand how a video can get hundreds of thousands of views and only 40 comments especially when its music this incredible. I'll admit half those views may be from me though.

The true ending of Ys VIII hurt me so much. It kind of just felt like everything Dana went through was pointless and even after all she went through and the sacrifices she made to save them all she was completely forgotten by everyone besides the party members and she has to be all alone again after everything she went through. I just felt like she suffered way too much throughout the game for her to end up like that.
