A beaver fell a willow tree on the property I tend. The trunk had a 5-inch diameter and a 10-foot height. I couldn’t discard the beautiful tree, so I placed the now-pointed end in the sand bank of a creek. A few branches died, but it started growing more after a few weeks. I was ecstatic!

Yesterday, you did plant it, but it didn't sprout those branches overnight. Those branches were there. That is misleading.

You should visit the Somerset levels, we root bigger cuttings than this all the time. They are a fantastic tree, nothing better to grow for biomass in the British Isles.
