How to install Virtual Box Guest Additions in CentOS 7

A tutorial on how to install Virtual Box Guest Additions on CentOS 7.

In case you don't know Guest Additions is an included add-on that allows you to re-size the VM window, integrates the mouse pointers, has shared folders and clipboard and many other useful features.

But it can sometimes be tricky to install if you don't know the requirements. This video will guide you through the process.

Steps:
1. Update the OS
2. Reboot
3. yum groupinstall "Development Tools"
4. Run the Guest Additions installer

This Distribution containing a header files only..
help me brother still i getting the error which is showing kernel - devel kernel - devel 3.10.0.862 .e17.centos.plus.i686

It did not work and at the end of all this I have started getting the message : virtualbox kernel service is not runnig exiting
how to fix this?? please help

Hm, do a "uname -r" get the proper kernel-headers and the demanded gcc version and that's all, there is to it. No need to show a general update plus installing all the extra packages people don't need. Also do a proper "shutdown -r [min/now]" and not just a reboot which is like a kill -9 on the system. A "journalctl -xe" migt also tell you more than this log file.
