How to inspect subframe bushings Volvo S60 2001-2009

Side notes, start by supporting the subframe with the wheels on the ground, then remove the two rear bolts then finally remove the 18mm subframe bolt. Use a 2-3ft breaker bar on the 18mm bolt, careful as these bolts can rust and get thinner near the head, if the bolt seems stuck it's better not to force on it as it may break.
Then remove the jack from under the subframe.

Thank you very much!! The video helped to idetify source of knocking noise (loose bolts) in my xc 90 . None of 'Polish self- called " mechanics could!! Saved A lot of money.

See my video about the Volvo special tool #9995457, Subframe Bushing Removal/Installation tool. I replaced all 4 bushings on my 2002 V70. For a while I had the polyurethane inserts from IPD, but I eventually swapped everything out in a big suspension job.

Mine failed prematurely, I'm at 205K Kms and I think they've been bad for over 30K Kms. I went to check and the 2 rear ones are completely collapsed, the divots where you're supposed to install the inserts are completely shut closed, cracks all around. I bought the beige power delrin replacements. Did you also realize that bushing had an oval middle? I also had one that was oval for some reason, the 3 others were round.
