i might be weird but didn't you notice the matching tattoo was on the forehead? the wound was on the exact same place as rey's. maybe jenny had mental problems and wanted matching tattoos so she carved in her own head and then carved in her ex boyfriend a little bit because she still loved him. The ex boyfriend defended himself and killed her by accident.
