Do I REGRET Buying a Tesla?? (Model Y after 50k Miles)

I've had my Tesla Model Y for over two years and already logged in almost 50,000 miles. In that time I had a few fit and finish issues as well as a big service where my high voltage battery died. I asked a number of people with tesla's their experiences and was pretty surprised.

Need a video like this but after several more years of ownership. Would be great to see what the experience is like at the 100-150k mile mark and 5+ years.

7 months. 15k miles. 2 minor issues. Rear glass crack and turn signal error. Easy fixes which only took a few hours at service center. 22 M3LR

Came here for the Tesla stuff, stayed for the doggos. I'm so sorry to hear about Simba and it definitely looks like you are giving him his best life. I can't imagine how tough it is for you and your wife. Sending y'all the best wishes!

I just wanted to say thank you, probably the reason I bought Model Y.
Awesome videos 😊
I have my Model Y for about 7 months and with 12k miles on it.
Every time I get into the car, I still drive with biggest smile on my face.

Never getting gas car again.

Tesla is the true cult 😂

Hi Chris, I have a Fremont Y LR that we picked up in June last year. We have done almost 12K miles with zero issues. I did not have any delivery issues and so far have not had to use Tesla Service. My family loves it and my older son who got to drive it a few times agrees on how amazing it is. I love your videos and please keep them coming!

I've had better experience with my service center appointment - but because I knew my normal service center was known to be not so great - so I rescheduled for a different center. However, I will say, that if you have an issue that can be addressed with the mobile service - that is the way to go. The lack of human numbers to call is a real downside - I prefer using the app and website for the most part but sometimes you need a human to help.

Beyond a couple minor service appointments (one mobile and one at a center), I've had no issues. About 18 months and about 12k miles.

I talk to Tesla owners all the time where I work and not a single person has told me the regret it. They all say they will never buy anything else.

I agree with him. The interior dashboard design is crap.

My only complaints war the normal steering turns with yoke, it should have been electronically steering with race steering/turning, and not direct turn steering, so you can take advantage of the shape, and not be by it. and the other thing is the lack of sensors, they keep removing them. (and finally a wish, they should offer full water resistant option and warranty add on for it.)

So, overall, 50% of new Teslas have Issues in the first Year of usage? Wow thats bad... thats really bad. How can a car like this be called "high quality"?
My VW Golf 2006 had 1 Problem with the Passangerdoor Lock in the last 6 years and 80.000 km. I could fix it myself for 60 Euros.

It amazes me how Tesla owners spend $50-$100k for a brand new car.

It's get delivered and the body parts don't line up correctly! They down play the issue and say it's not a big deal! Like what?

Guess it's the Elon juice that has them drunk.

“Avoiding those dirty fossil fuel stations” while driving in the car that uses batteries that were mined by fossil fuel machines and processed by fossil fuel powered factories 🤡. Also how convenient it is to wake up to a fully charged battery that was charged by your home, which is powered by a fossil fueled power station 🤡.

I ordered my 2021 3SR+ from clicking the button to home delivery was less than 2 weeks. I order my 2023 Y from clicking the button on 1/13 to picking it up at the dealer 2/3 (about a week delay due to me not filling in all the paperwork). I will say that the "dealer" experience was fair. It was hurry up, hurry up, hurry up (due to all the texts, emails, etc to tell me to reschedule delivery early). We got there and had to wait 30 mins for a guy to help us even though we had an appt. End of the day, I have 2 Tesla's in garage; so I guess you can say that I'm super happy with them.
