Dude, anyone who starts a video with a quote from my favorite movie deserves a subscribe from me! Great content and love the "Real Genius" reference. I'm now binging your D1 videos because I'm ordering mine in 2 weeks.

SO MUCH INFO out there - I am looking to buy the cutter, based on the material I am cutting. Would you say, from a big picture perspective, does the xTool 'engrave' anodized aluminum, acrylic, wood. I think I have the answer, but before making the purchase I want to be certain I'll get what I need to get with it. I am leaning xtool D1 Pro. New follower - love your stuff so far.

this is AWESOME - I had been focused on building a material list that included anodized, acrylic, wood and possibly metal. I DIDN"T EVEN THINK ABOUT STONE. Great explanation on the metal

Great video .
I have one question if I am cutting 3mm or 4mm chipboard or wood and my cutting is very fine . The question is will 20w cut more clean and Sharp than 10w?

Hey, I recognize that Harry Potter house logo. Almost like I suggested it. Hahaha that did a LOT more than I anticipated.

I'm curious if it can cut flattened out aluminum soda cans? The aluminum on soda cans is super thin. Also, would it be okay to etch designs onto spray painted metal?

Hi, I just discovered your channel. Awesome stuff!! I am very new to the topic of laser engraving. I want to engrave some labels on to a rack panel, which is made of 2mm steel sheet and has a layer of thick powder coat on it. Is this possible with a diode laser and if so, what optical power is required?
Thanks in advance!

Great videos. I'm currently trying to engrave a stainless steel zippo that just refuses to mark! I am using the dry moly, xtool d1pro, lightburn, settings are: speed 7 in/min @ 100% power. Do you by chance have any troubleshooting tips on why the metal won't mark?

I customize Hot Wheels/Matchbox and as wondering if this would engrave or discolor diecast like in the saw blade you showed at the end of this video with an X-Tool D1 Pro?

You can actually etch on stainless steel after coating the surface with mustard (or possibly vinegar--haven't tried it yet). My uncoated stainless steel attempt (with just a 5w laser) also caused smooth metal discoloration but the mustard coating actually created a rough surface.

I am wanting to cut really think (.010) Brass sheets. Do you think the D1 will do that? What issues might I have? I am assuming I would have to mask the sheet. Wanting to make a Hell Raiser Puzzle Box replica, wanted to do the patterns on the side out of thin brass sheets I can pick up at hobby lobby
