I'm a real estate agent and I know how stressful contingencies can be, for sure! BUT it can all work out. Our Broker had a sale that was four contingencies long! Yikes!!! But it all worked out for everyone! Just remember that everyone involved has the same goal in mind - to sell/buy the houses. So you are really all on the same big team! Buying and selling, especially when on a contingency is so stressful! My husband and I had bought land to start building our dream home. We listed our house for sale and within 2 weeks had a full price offer! However, it was contingent on that guy selling his house. He ended up getting an offer quickly but ended up having to fix a bunch of stuff with his house before it went thru. We waited weeks and finally made the tough decision to go ahead and start building our new house because all that had to be done was the paperwork and closing. A few weeks into our build we were finally set to close on a Friday. The guy buying our house texted my husband on Monday night basically backing out of the deal! We were terrified! We had already started our new house and were possibly starting at square one with our old house! Thankfully he texted back the next morning and was back in. 🙄 So I am sending lots of prayers and good vibes your way that your process will go super smooth with no hiccups and you can get the house you love! Y’all deserve it and to have a fresh start!

I understand how you guys are feeling! It's stressful to sell a house for us ! We have had a few tricky realtors that were lying and making up stuff to get us to buy something we didn't like and it almost happen two times! Very stressful to the point my mom passed out both times in my arms. I told both realtors how stressful they were making it. We now have a lady from our church and she understands this needs to be right for both of us. We have no idea when or where we are going. Yes, we have a list of things we want and don't wants, just needs to be safe and up to date.

Count your blessings because here in the foothills of North Carolina we went from having temperatures from 70s-90s and then last week we dropped down to 16 degrees with a high of 39 today(which is the highest it’s gotten in over a week) and that has been mixed with rain and even a bit of snow in parts of our county. During our winter months we can have the temperature go up as much as 50 degrees with a low down in the 20s. It’s gotten worse over the last 5 years. Makes it hard to dress for the day, especially for children.

Buying/selling is so stressful when we bought our house it was the most stressful time it was so much back and fourth paperwork on top of paperwork. I would love to sell our home and get something different but I heard the selling process is soo much morec complicated lol best of luck to you guys.

It's near 10 pm hear in glasgow Scotland its ‐3 think thata about 30 for you guys its absolutely freezing our dogs wrapped up in blankets there old cant cope with the cold wether. Neither can I espec with having hip replacements and struggling to walk on freezing days not good. Totaly loving having all these blogs and podcast . Hope everything works out for you fingers crossed xx
