It’s ridiculous that dragon communion has more scarlet rot inflicting incantations than the servants of rot. Why there isn’t an incantation to infuse the weapon with rot is beyond me. Also maybe another servant of rot incantation where the player vomits scarlet rot forward, like the cleanrot knights do

Rannis dark moon is one of the best ways to start a fight imo, it absolutely destroys magic resist and is super good at proccing frostbite

I made a death sorcery/weapons only and it was one of the best builds I ever did.

Really hope that we get more rot incantations and maybe a seal to go with it like dex/fth scaling? Feels like the game has a lot of weird scaling weapons that should be combined more lol.

The full moon sorceries aren't really meant as a mid-combat spell. They are good openers for bosses. Both apply a debuff that gives -20% magic resistance, and Ranni's also applies frostbite build up. If using any other weapons/spells that also apply frostbite, or at most 2 casts of Ranni's triggers the Moon debuff and Frostbite, for -30% magic resistance, which can go a long way for a lot of spells. Loved using Ranni's Dark Moon with the Dark Moon Greatsword. Also the Lorettas are good for long distance. Also good for an opener. Drop Terra Magicka, use Ranni's, switch to Loretta, then switch to a different spell as the boss gets closer. The Mastery might cost a bit more FP for only a bit more damage, but it has great tracking. I've seen it hit for over 7k fairly easily on the Moghwyn Birds.

Ancient death rancor does insane dmg if u have 80 faith and int and tied with death staff has highest scaling plus u can stun lock and cheese Malenia

My definitive favorite are Glinstone sorceries because you have a answer for everything. Good damage/ spammable peble, higer stats spammable Great Glinstone/ Comet Shard, quuck killing Comet, big bosses melter Spiral Shard, close combat Rock Blaster and Gavel of Haima, quick cast AOE Glinstone Arc, slower casting but stronger AOE Cannon of Haima and the best buffing spell in the game Terra Magica. With Glinstone sorceries you are covered on all fronts.

i think i'd give clayman at least a B for the ability to chain a bunch of them together at the beginning of a fight before you switch to something faster.
that's a niche, yes, but its an exploitable niche, and i like that it makes you play slightly differently from normal.

I don’t remember the video but someone did do the math on Night Comet. With the Staff of Loss fully upgraded Night Comet you will get the highest possible damage output you can do with sorcery in the game. Not only that but as you said enemies will not input read the attack and won’t even attempt to dodge or block it and instead opt to just take it in the face.

For PVE yeah Night Comet with the Staff of Loss is the best and it will carry you through the entire game.

Great list! I agree with most of this, but I would definitely put frenzied flame one tier higher. 3 out of 5 spells are pretty good in pve, and one of them I feel doesn’t really count as there’s a direct upgrade for it.

Howl of shabriri doesn’t hit much in the game, but it gives you a 25% damage buff, which is pretty insane.

Adulas Moonblade shoots the frost sorceries straight up to s tier imo

Explosive Ghostflame is goated in pve and pvp.
