1:40 they're called "old fashioned" rolled to differentiate them from quick cooking/instant oats. I think its also marketing, since it makes them sound older and more rustic as opposed to the modern processed instant oats.

I made these yesterday, used all whole wheat and in an 8x8. Turned out amazingly well! Not too sweet, nice bright strawberry flavor. Excellent recipe!

I made these bars this morning, YUMMY! I used strawberry jam instead of fresh strawberries and was able to put these together in just a few minutes. They were golden brown within 23 minutes and everyone loved them. Thanks chef John! I'll be making these again. <3
