Fix Dpc_Watchdog_violation on Microsoft Windows 10, 7 and 8

This is the fix for the problem "Your PC ran into a problem"on windows 10 and the name of error is dpc watchdog violation.
Here are the steps to fix this.-

1.) Go to Control panel
2)Click on Hardware and sound.
3)Click On Power Options.
4)Click on choose what the power button does.
5)Click on change settings that are unavailable.
6)Uncheck Turn on fast startup.
Thats all

I had this error and it led me to scout online for a likely solution. I discovered that so many people had the same problem. However, what I also discovered was that this error, DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, could be caused by a lot of different things and so a particular solution may work for A but not for B. In my own case, I realized I had Avast and Bitdefender running. I disabled Avast, leaving only Bitdefender and so far, my system has become "sane". Apparently, both antiviruses were conflicting with each other and causing the blue screen error.

It's solved, the problem occurred when my computer was running idle for 5 minutes, and after that i got the blue screen. But I have it now just an hour idling, and he is still functioning!!! Thanks!

I had that watchdog problem, the laptop restarted itself and all that so I came here looking for answers and I noticed that button you said was already on! I fear that this could happen again. Never before I had had problems on this pc until I updated to windows 10, in fact it is kinda new my Samsung SideSync

i'll try it, but looking at the comments people didn't find this helpful. In future videos, you should explain WHY this works. Answer these questions: What is the error? What causes it? Why might it be happening to the user? What generally needs to change to fix it? How will the "fix" you're proposing enact that change? THEN what should the user do?

When you only do the last step, tell us what to do, you've effectively tech supported us - given us an answer that might help, but offered no insight as to what the problem really is. People hate tech support, so don't be like them.

There's only one "FIX" for Windows 10. Delete the partition it's installed on and burn the computer.

My pc does this with some games. The ones I've seen cause this so far are left 4 dead 2 and grand theft auto v. Never crashed before downgrading to win 10.

After my PC restarted prior to the blue screen I have no way to access windows anymore, it lags like hell when windows is starting then after a few centurys the same blue screen pops up again and the cycle continues, and that's only because I randomly decided to take a daily quest on Tera and my whole PC randomly happened to freeze triggering the watchdog violation error... am I supposed to buy a new PC now?

I spent all day trying various fixes. Nothing worked. Now I have gone back to the previous Windows 10 version, and voila, problem fixed. Microsoft is aware of this problem, affecting many, and are working on a fix. To revert back to where your computer was before the update  : Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > middle option, Get started.

I started getting this violation since I switched from Win 7 to Win 10. I noticed that this usually happens when I leave my laptop unattended for a few minutes. I've just done your fix and will let you know if it works.

how can I fix when it goes to the error screen then shuts off and repeats all over again

I would try to fix this but the thing is, this isnt under any of the operations located in the Device Manager.
