With the addition of the Origin 100 series line of ships in 3.11, we bring back the Ship Rundown. While we dont take these ships into combat like we usually do, we do run down some differences, and I give you my take on these brand new starters in the Star Citizen Universe.

I think it's directly comparable to the Aurora, the Mustang just loses out. To both.
They both fit in a Carrack.
They both have a bed and small cargo.
Aurora has VTOLs, 100 has AIR system.
Aurora has second shield gen, 100 has more speed.

I keep seesawing between which I prefer, though I prefer the auroras clunky aesthetic to yet another flying bar of soap.

I like all three of them, and this update should be great. Also excited about the Mercury Star Runner as well

For the activities that I tend to do in the 'verse, the Origin 100i checks all the right boxes. Box missions (courier/probe/recover/black box) and investigations are the mainstays of my time in the verse when not doing org events. The 100 has a very good QT tank (700), vastly superior hydrogen fuel recovery thanks to the AIR system, good atmospheric handling, a bed, internal storage for boxes (needed when force reactions will throw boxes around in the future), and a knife-thin stylish profile. Only one shield generator makes it part-snub like the equivalent priced Anvil Pisces but at least it can mount Size 3 wing guns and gets a couple of missiles. Combat is not something I seek out often anyway, and if I do it is in something a bit more substantial. Great video breakdown!

From what I've seen of the 100 series my biggest gripe would be the multifunction displays being nearly invisible in that cockpit if there's any type of light source.

Was looking forward to these for a long time. Especially since I realized that they should be able to be ship launched from a C2 Herc like it's a baby idris...

Why we need more starters is because I don’t buy people thinking they can get around grinding

I really like them and have the 100i for delivery missions. I am disappointed in the handling but it does feel like a bug so hopefully, that will be corrected fairly quickly. I might upgrade it to the 125a for the speed if they do fix the thrusters. I didn't realise until last night that it had little doors under the wings to access the coolers too.

I'm not a fan of any of the starters but if I had to pick one I guess the 100 would be the one. The first ship I had purchased was the Freelancer, so anything smaller than that really feels lacking.

I have mixed feelings TBH, but it5nice to see most of the buttons and other switches have functions now, compared to the mustang and Aurora these provide a lot of value... still like you said not even close to the titan when it comes to functionality...

The 100's were a ship I dismissed when they came out.

Now, I think it is the best small ship.

The other starters, are better "starters".
But, the other starters you will dump after getting better things to fly. The 100's you will keep for a small, fast claim, atmo transport.

Nearly zero cost to fly, it is small, flies decent, great SCM speed, great boost, working cargo, bed, 700 quant fuel. Can be built out stealthy.

Origin 135c for me, white is a much better colour, blue would be second choice. But what I love about this series is the stairs. They are sooo much cooler then ladders. Regarding the the symbol, it's sharp like status symbols should be.

If the Titan wasn't the best all rounder, 0rigin 135c would be my second choice for starter ship.
But the Aorura is a wonderful odd little ship. I totally get why people choose that first.

I hate logos on things, and asymmetry, so that would be one of the main reasons I would not buy this ship.

100 series is overpriced by about $10-$15. CIG is getting too greedy at this point.
Looks nicer but Aurora MR is $20!!! Cheaper than 100i. It is almost double the price of the MR.
125a is same price as Titan and all it has over Titan is 2 missiles. That is ludicrous. Titan has more shield, way more pew, more SCU, more interior...
135c has less SCU than Titan, less missiles, less interior space, less shields, less pew. Titan is $5 cheaper.
