MJ became the GOAT due to a combination of work ethic, competitive drive, athleticism, God-given physical attributes like flexibility, large hands, vertical, hangtime, speed, etc.. AND... something not mentioned enough, SHOWMANSHIP. If you've seen MJ play his first 6-7 years in the league, you'd understand. It was palming the ball one-handed in the air eluding defenders for trick shot after trick shot, dunking on everybody, relentless attacks at the rim... People flocked to the arenas to see him put on a show like Dr. J. For the younger generation, simply imagine someone with LeBron's greatness PLUS the abilities and flair of a young Vince Carter. That's what MJ was in his prime.

My father coached college basketball. Been around it my whole life. I saw Jordan play in person many times. I've never seen anyone play the game like he did. Ever.
