Is your propane tank EXPIRED?

Propane tanks expire and can't be refilled! If that happens to you, you can have it inspected and recertified, but you usually have to take it to a bigger propane retailer and not your local gas station.

An even easier way is to take it to almost any convenience store and swap it out. You get an up-to-date tank. Refill it until it's expired.

10 year here in Australia and they have to replace the valve and make sure no rust inside. Costs a lot more here. Usually cheaper to buy a new bottle.

Can you recertify as many as times as you want?

well lucky you in the usa, its 10 years in canada, and costs as much as a new tank to have it tested and the valve replace to get recert

I fill my own I have a 300 gallon with a wet line much cheaper I think I payed 2.20 a gallon I bought 100 gallons
