How much propane is left in your tank?

This is how you determine exactly how much propane is left in your tank. #shorts

All you need is a cup of hot water and pour it in the side of the tank and look for the frost line.

For anyone who doesn't know, tare means the weight of an empty container.

It's closer to 3/4 than 7/8. No need to estimate if you've already weighed it.

You're missing 5.5lbs of propane from full.

5.5 = 27.5% of 20.

100% - 27.5% = 72.5% propane left.


7\8 would have been closer to 87.5%

I use a mr heater fuel keg adapter. Just turn the tank upside-down, put the fuel keg adapter on it, open the valve and give it a quick jerk.

Make sure there's NOTHING to spark it off though lol!

Why not just place the tank on a regular weight scale? There's no need to buy a hanging scale.

that math you doin is kinda goofy my friend. if 38lbs is full, -18= 20

38-34=4

4-20 =16 lbs of propane

16/20 reduced 4/5ths full
