All about Inktober for beginners

Inktober is plagued by trademark issues and plagiarism claims but it doesn't mean the annual art challenge in October should stop.
Find out about this popular drawing challenge, why you should participate in it and how to survive 31 days of non-stop drawing in this video. I will also advise on some of the common questions that I have seen from people doing it for the first time.
If you are bothered about the controversy, feel free to use alternative prompt lists or call this challenge your own but don't stop creating in October!

Excellent advice, Alice. I started in 2017 and I add another challenge of my own prompts so that I have two challenges . In 2017, I added Cats in different scenarios. 2018 Blue Doors, and 2019 was Teacups but I added a third challenge of Buddhas. This year 2020 it'll be Birdhouses. So the Inktober prompts plus my own prompts of Birdhouses.
I add another prompt challenge for the delight of adding colour. ( watercolour) I bought a bottle of Kuretake ink and discovered they have no dropper. I have a dropper I can use and I'll put the ink in one of my water brushes, because I don't have a dip pen.

I’ve heard of Inktober but didn’t know it has been “scandalous” 😅. Sounds really fun to take part! (But I think I’ll make my own list of 31). “No time to draw” is real especially with a little toddler on tow but I think I can make it work by doing simple ones. I think the key for this fun challenge is to push ourselves to making consistent practice. Those advices are really helpful.

Noob can I see the posts? I tried looking for Inktober2019 to learn more in Instagram but there are so many names that pop up and non of them seems to make sense (to me)...like how did they relate to the prompts and which is the official post?
